What is the point of raising alarms against the consumer society and the pollution that results from it, if we continue to support the industries that poison us and exhaust the natural resources of our planet? Let's not use up the little oxygen we have left by shouting our dismay. Let us instead learn to live again without the products of these industries and find, in contact with nature, the bases of a true scale of values.
Certainly, we will find it difficult to completely do without manufactured products; we have accumulated too many bad habits over generations. But let's imagine industrial production which would be limited to essential things. It's not easy to determine them since we have lost the notion of what is essential! But let's put our knowledge on the back burner and meditate on its use.
Let us reconsider the primordial elements of our existence.
